TCMA Annual Report 2021 50 İstanbul Settlement and Custody Bank BİGA Platform Introduction Webinar The Association and İstanbul Settlement and Custody Bank (Takasbank) co-organized a webinar for introducing the Biga Platform on 26 January 2021. During the webinar, the Takasbank’s approach to blockchain, blockchain usage in finance, and BiGA Project were tackled. TİM-TCMA Currency Risk Panel for Exporter Companies The first one of the “Currency Risk Management for Exporter Companies” panel was held online on 4 February 2021 with the cooperation of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) and the Association. The panel consisted of two sessions named ‘Managing Currency Risk Via Futures’ and ‘Indicating Currency Risk Hedging in Financial Statements’. TRAINING Online trainings In 2021, we carried on with our comprehensive training programs, held in online formats, to build on the competencies of market professionals. Webinar: Correct Use of Social Media in the Finance Sector The Association held a webinar on “Correct Use of Social Media in the Finance Sector” on 23 February 2021. The topics discussed in the webinar included the skills an employee should possess in the digital world, an overview of social media communications, the right communication to the right group at the right time, content management, which content to use and when, example social media communications from the finance sector, social network trends in 2021 and new social networks. Webinar: Turkish Mercantile Exchange and Electronic Product Certificate Market A webinar on “Turkish Mercantile Exchange and Electronic Product Certificate Market” was held on 25 February 2021. The topics tackled in the webinar were the development of licensed warehousing in agricultural produce, the journey of agricultural produce from the field to the warehouse, from licensed warehouse to Turkish Mercantile Exchange (TÜRİB): Electronic Product Certificate (in Turkish: ELÜS), product exchange, and TÜRİB ELÜS market operation and market data sources.
