TCMA Annual Report 2021 53 Joint Panel by TİM and TCMA: The Role of Capital Market Instruments in Companies’ Access to Finance Co-organized by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) and the Association for TİM Members, the panel titled “The Role of Capital Market Instruments in Companies’ Access to Finance” was held online on 29 December 2021. With the opening speeches delivered by TİM Chairperson İsmail Gülle and the Association’s Chairperson İbrahim H. Öztop, the panel included two distinct sessions. During the panel, information was shared on “Company Mergers and Acquisitions”, “IPO”, “Quotation” and “Latest Status in International Markets”. Licensing Exam Preparation Programs The Capital Markets Licensing Registration and Training Agency (CMLTA) held the first one of the class-based exams postponed due to the pandemic conditions by the end of 2020 on 6-7 March, the second one on 3-4 July and the third one on 4-5 December in 2021. Taking into consideration the pandemic-imposed conditions, the Association organized companyspecific online training programs in preparation for these exams. Demands for training programs concentrated mostly in the topics covered by Capital Market Activities Level 1, Level 3, and Derivatives exams. Two programs were held online in 2021 within the scope of company-specific (closed) training programs organized at our members’ request. Professional Development Programs The professional development training organized in 2021 covered programs in financial technologies, technical analysis, digitalization, economy, finance, appraisal, accounting and investment products and the like. The training programs were attended by the manufacturing industry employees, as well as bank and brokerage firm employees. A total of 595 participants attended 24 company-specific and public courses held in 2021. 2021 Licensing and Professional Development Training Programs Number of Programs Number of Participants Licensing and Professional Development 26 605 Expertise in Sustainability Expertise Certificate Programme Co-organized by TCMA and Sustainable Learning Development and Excellence Association (SEGM) The certification program seeks to provide the participants with well-based information on the main aspects of sustainability, and to acquaint them with the role of the sustainability concept and unit within an organizational structure, sustainability standards and other associated guidelines, the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the UN Global Compact.
